The Nodal Office, CHRIST (Deemed to be University) located in Thiruvananthapuram is looking forward to establish an advisory board by bringing together a group of renowned and vibrant individuals whose qualities complement the existing structure and help in the onward journey of the center. This group is formed to give advice and support the leadership and hence aid the institution in its journey. They can be representatives from academia, industry, volunteer organizations, business, NGO’s, theatre, media, sports, health and other services which include both governmental and non-governmental.

Size and Tenure

The tenure of the board is a maximum of two years. The minimum number of board members is five and each member would belong to a different sector to bring in dynamic feedbacks, networking, and advices.

Meeting Frequency

Meeting once annually the board can provide strategic direction, guide quality improvement, give unbiased insights and ideas and further the possibility of more development.

Nature and Role

The advisory group shall have a non-financial and voluntary nature whose paramount purpose is to give advice and support the Nodal Office to develop it as a center of learning, creation and sharing in academic and nonacademic fields which encompasses economic, social and environmental fields.
The envisioned advisory board provides non-binding strategic, directional and developmental advice. The role of a ‘wise counsel’ is done by the board. The nature of the board is informal. The advisory board does not have the authority to vote on any matter, bear legal fiduciary responsibilities or have any legal responsibilities. The advisory board does not have any binding obligations.The role of an advisor is purely honorary in nature.
