The BCom (Applied Finance and Analytics) programme is designed with a dual focus on Finance and Analytics. This programme is specially designed to develop analytical skills in the students and enable them to think critically in making financial decisions. The curriculum focusses on combining the knowledge of Finance Economics and Statistics using Machine Learning Algorithms. The students will be able to further boost their abilities in analysing financial data given the backdrop of economic trends and also build invaluable skills.

Students learn advanced courses across finance catering to careers in Corporate Finance Mergers and Acquisition Business Valuation and Modelling Investment Management Risk Management Financial planning Private equity Wealth management and Management Consulting. On the Analytics front students will learn to code programme and handle complex data sets with algorithms. They’ll learn to use tools such as Python R VBA Power BI SQL and will develop skills to interpret and convert data into valuable insights and use them to create business strategies and drive business decisions. They will also learn few courses pertaining to data science techniques such as predictive modelling optimization techniques advanced statistics and machine learning. At the end students learn about visualization and presentation of insights. The course is systematically designed with capstone projects specifically to cater to analytics-based courses in various domains such as - Retail Web and social media Supply chain and logistics Health care
Banking Insurance Finance and Accounting and start-ups where industry partners mentor and evaluate the projects along with faculty mentors. At the end of the programme the student is ready to face the futuristic world with two powerful skill sets pertaining to a highly growing field of Finance and Analytics.
BCom (Applied Finance and Analytics Honours)
The fourth year will focus on the advanced level of knowledge in the field of Applied Finance and Analytics. The students will have project work in the final semester. The students who successfully complete the fourth year/eighth semesters and satisfy the minimum credit requirement as per NEP guidelines will be awarded with a BCom (Applied Finance and Analytics Honours) degree.
BCom (Applied Finance and Analytics with Research)
Students who secure 75% marks and above in the first six semesters and wish to undertake research at the undergraduate level can choose a research stream in the fourth year. They should do a research project or dissertation under the guidance of a faculty member of the University. The research project/dissertation will be in the major discipline. The students who secure 160 credits including 12 credits from a research project/dissertation will be awarded the BCom (Applied Finance and Analytics Honours with Research) degree.
Applicants may apply online for the programme from 8th December 2023 on the University website till the date of applications officially closing.
Applications for each programme will close approximately a week before the scheduled selection process.
All applicants must visit the page: https://app.christuniversity.in and register by entering NAME (as printed on Class 10 Marks Card), EMAIL-ID and set a password.
(The email id and mobile number provided will be used for sending confirmation and application status-update messages). An applicant can apply for as many programmes using the same ID as long as the prescribed eligibility criteria for the specific programme is fulfilled.
(After payment if you do not receive the 9 (Nine) digit application number, then your application process is incomplete, and payment will go in for refund process. The refund will take about 15 working days and must be checked with your bank).
Note: The Admit card for the programme will be updated ONE or TWO days before the scheduled process and can be accessed from https://espro.christuniversity.in/Application/.
It is required to have all the original marks cards available and a photo identity card for verification at any stage of the selection process.

Produce evidence of passing the qualifying examination in English medium or have IELTS 6.0 with no sub-score below 5.5 or TOEFL (paper) 550, TOEFL (computer) of 213 or TOEFL (IBT) of 79 scores
Intensive Certificate course in English Language (Full Time) conducted from March to May each year or One Semester Certificate course in English Language (Part Time) conducted after regular class hours from June to December.
Note: The International Student category fee structure is binding for the full duration of the programme and cannot be transferred /changed in between.
Candidates from the above listed categories having pursued Indian Educational qualification and who may have applied under the Indian States Category will have to pay the International Student Category Fee. The decision of the Admission committee is final.

Students are welcome to apply under the Non Resident Indian category for the programmes offered by the University.
Students who fall under any of the following classifications can apply under NRI Student category and be liable to pay the fees applicable to the category for the entire duration of the programme.
Admission to all programmes is based on academic achievement and CHRIST (Deemed to be University) Selection Process. Candidates should submit the final results of class 12 on or before August 30th of the admission year.
Applicants must read through the Selection process, Fee Structure and other details under the preferred programme given on our website before proceeding with the application process.
Selection process results will be available on https://app.christuniversity.in Selected candidates will receive an E-Offer of admission. The offer will be valid up to the date mentioned in the Offer of admission.
All selected candidates must note that admission is provisional and subject to University rules.

An undertaking for pending original documents unavailable currently [applicable only for candidates writing/passing their exam in March – June – 2024], must be submitted to the Office of Admissions. These documents must be submitted on or before 20 August 2024.
All admitted students must open an account at South Indian Bank, CHRIST (Deemed to be University) Branch as part of the admission process and must carry relevant ID proof (Aadhar Card and Pan Card).
The University ID card is a smart card, which is both an ID cum ATM card with a chip containing the student personal details. All transactions within the University campus after commencement of classes, including fee payment will be processed only through this card. It is also an access card for Library and other restricted places.
Selected candidates who fall under International student category (ISC) should register with the Foreigner Regional Registration Officer (FRRO / FRO) of the Local Police in Bengaluru, India within 14 working days from the date of admission or arriving in Bengaluru.

Eligibility for the programme is a pass with a minimum of 70% at the +2 level (Karnataka PUC / ISC / CBSE / State Boards) in the Commerce stream from any recognised Board in India.
Candidates writing the +2 examinations in March-May 2024 may apply with their class X and XI marks.
