Dr. Mythri Rajeswara Babu completed her Ph.D. in Neurochemistry from NIMHANS in 2011. Her research focused on oxidative and nitrosative stress in models of Parkinson?s Disease (PD). She received the SERB Young Scientist grant to explore epigenetic regulation in neurotoxic PD models. Dr. Mythri has significant expertise in neurodegenerative disease research using cell and animal models. Her work has earned her several awards and publications in national and international journals. She is currently an Associate Professor at Christ University, engaging students in scientific exploration. She teaches in the Psychology Department, focusing on the biological basis of health and cancer. Dr. Mythri introduced a practicum-based course in Neurochemistry, giving students hands-on training. Her research continues in neurobiology, oxidative stress, mitochondrial dysfunction, and brain health. She is also involved in interdisciplinary collaborations with other departments.
