Dr. Tinu Thomas is an expert in crop physiology, stress biology, and plant development. He was a DST INSPIRE fellow during his PhD in Crop Physiology from the University of Agricultural Sciences, Bangalore. Dr. Thomas has extensive experience in molecular biology and biochemical techniques, including transcriptome analysis and gene expression. He is skilled in mass spectrometry (LC-MS/MS) and genome editing technologies. His expertise also includes gene silencing (VIGS) and gene overexpression. Proficient in Python and R, Dr. Thomas manages large-scale biological data in crop research. He has worked on cereals, vegetables, and tree species. His research continues to advance crop management and plant physiology. Dr. Thomas has authored five research articles and a book chapter. He has been recognized with best presentation awards at scientific conferences. In 2024, he joined Christ University as an Assistant Professor.
